My familial roots go deep into Hungary where during World War 2, the Nazis and their local collaborators murdered over 500,000 Hungarian Jews. My work through Nivneh is to help repair the ruptures within the Jewish community in Hungary and I begin by fundraising for them and sharing their stories.
Throughout my life I have been in a Jewish community be it a Jewish school or youth groups.
I recently worked with Sustain a Child’s IYLC to fundraise for international causes. This inspired me to look into my roots and assist in a cause that is close to me, the underserved Jewish community in my familial homeland Hungary.
