Survey on Experiences and Perceptions of Antisemitism in Hungary

 

A report from the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency from 2018 showcases results from a survey for Jewish Hungarians they gave online. The data displays the pervasiveness of antisemitism in Hungarian society, such as in the following facts:

77% of the respondents in Hungary consider antisemitism to be a very
big or a fairly big problem in their country

71% of the respondents in Hungary consider antisemitism has increased over the past 5 years

Only 37% of the respondents positively assess the Hungarian government’s efforts to ensure the security needs of the Jewish communities
